Terra Multiphysics v1.1 released
Adds the AI surrogate, pile-field thermal interference, and seasonal time-varying (Duhamel) loads to the coupled solver.
AI surrogate validated to 0.009 °C
Across 200 held-out coupled solves the surrogate reaches R² 0.9997 and runs roughly 985,000× faster than a full solve.
Cross-validated against COMSOL
Outlet temperature agrees within 0.38 °C across the flow range and to 0.08 °C at the design point.
Field-scale thermo-mechanical validation
Simulates a full-scale energy-pile heating test — tracks the pile temperature and reproduces the heave-and-recovery character, though it over-predicts the peak heave (+5.96 vs +3.58 mm measured).
Terra Multiphysics v1.0 released
The coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical solver, geometry builder, mesher, and in-app 3-D post-processor ship together in one desktop application.
