System requirements and licensing
Terra Multiphysics is a self-contained desktop application: it installs from a single package, runs fully offline on a standard Windows machine, and needs no cloud account or cluster. Here is what it takes to run it and how it is licensed.
System requirements
A modern Windows desktop is all it takes. Nothing here is exotic — if your machine runs everyday engineering software, it runs Terra Multiphysics.
| Operating system | Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit) |
|---|---|
| Processor | Modern multi-core x64 |
| Memory | 8 GB minimum, 16 GB recommended |
| Disk | ~2 GB free for the installed application |
| Graphics | Any GPU with OpenGL for the 3-D viewer |
| Internet | Not required — fully offline |
| Deployment | Self-contained desktop installer, no cloud or cluster |
What's included
One installer ships the whole coupled workflow — five modules that share a single model — together with the documentation to get productive on day one.
Geometry builder
Build and edit solids on an owned CAD kernel — primitives, booleans, transforms, and face-level boundary conditions.
Learn more →Mesher
Automatic tetrahedral meshing at coarse, medium, or fine resolution — no manual element work.
Learn more →THM solver
A coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical finite-element engine that resolves heat, flow, and ground deformation together.
Learn more →AI surrogate
A validated Gaussian-process surrogate of the coupled solver — design exploration roughly 985,000× faster.
Learn more →3-D post-processor
An in-app 3-D viewer with colour-mapped temperature fields, the pipe loop, and the model domain.
Learn more →Bundled documentation
A quick-start guide, a full user manual, worked tutorials, and a theory & validation reference — all shipped with the package.

Terra Multiphysics is commercial software. The early-access design-partner programme is open now.
Terra Multiphysics is distributed under a commercial licence. We are onboarding a small group of early-access design partners who want coupled ground physics on their own desktop and a direct line to the people building it.
The full licence terms and end-user licence agreement are provided with the package, so you can review exactly what you are agreeing to before you install. If you would like to read the terms ahead of time, ask and we will send them over.
